Rigid-flex PCBs

Rigid-flex PCBs are PCBs that combine rigid and flexible PCBs (FPCs), usually used to save space and disassemble wiring components. They can also be welded with complex components. As part of packaging, combining HDI and other higher-tech PCBs is also a common design.

Kinwong’s technical capabilities are as follows:

  • 2-16 layers for rigid area and 1-6 layers for flex area
  • Air gap structure on flexible area
  • HDI / Anylayer
  • Asymmetric structure (1F+1R)
  • Dispensing on rigid-flex transition area
